Opened in 1897, this course was named to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It is the most seaward of the St Andrews Links courses and the youngest part of the traditional Links.

Created on a narrow strip of land between the New Course and the sea, the Jubilee was originally a 12 hole course intended for ladies and beginners. It was the result of an initiative by the Town Council who had re-acquired the Links under the 1894 Links Act.

It is a formidable challenge especially with its long six-hole stretch.
